Youth committee of Chaoshan history and culture study center holds the initial activity

¡¡¡¡ At the beginning of New Year, The Youth committee of Chaoshan history and culture study center held the first activity since the establishing of the Youth committee. Over 30 members of Youth committee from three cities in Chao-Shan region discussed about academic works in Zhanglin of Chenghai City. This meeting was hosted by professor Lin LunLun, director of Young committee and vice-president of Shantou university, and professor Huang Ting, vice-director of Young committee, librarian of Shantou university and director of Chaoshan history and culture study center.

£ £ The Youth committee was established on June 10, 2001. It is a fuctional organization subordinate to Chaoshan history and culture study center, consisted of the young people at home and abroad who like Chao studies very much. The task of the

£ £ Youth committee is to develop the academic research to the Chaoshan historical culture and holding the discussion activity of every special topic; uniting young group and young scholars of Chaoren at home and abroad, developing the activity of the cultural exchanges that suits young people.

£ £ Director of Youth committee Lin Lunlun introduced work plan of Youth committee in this activity. The members visited the Tianhougong Palace, Budai WeiXiqin house, former Qin Mu residence and Xinxing street, etc. They visited some old local people, and collected some folk oral meterials. At last, in the overseas Chinese of harbour memorial museum of guxiang

£ £ Zhanglin, Professor Huang Ting made a lecture of "material collecttion and the investigating method among people" which takes the history of Guxiang Zhanglin as an example. Professor Lin Lunlun made lecture about academic research.
