　　The "Chaoshan history" (the first volume) was published, which Chaoshan people had been longing for a long time.

　　This book has 300 thousands words, It was compiled by Chaoshan history and culture study center and published by Guangdong people's press. It was listed in Fund project subject of national social science in 1999, which was approved by National philosophy scientific program-leading group.

　　This book includes of history and society information with economy, society, culture and law of Chaoshan from early Qin Dynasty to Jiajing time of Ming Dynasty. The author Huang Ting (professor of Shantou university) and Chen Zhanshan (vice professor of Shantou university) worked on Chaoshan history especially based on first hand information in Chaoshan region for more than 10 years. They nearly go over all cities and villages and towns of ChaoShan region and accumulated the very abundant materials which made "chaoshan history" more colorful.
